Tea Bag Gift Bags

The past year I have officially become a tea snob. I just can’t drink tea from a bag anymore. Buying all that loose-leaf tea means I have lots of empty tea bags. I empty the bags into tins that keep the tea much fresher longer. And all those bags get stored in my craft closet hoping to someday get used for something…

I made these sweet little gifts for my sisters’ birthdays and needed a non-Christmas gift bag to put them in. (I’ll post the gifts after the party.)

Then I remembered my stash of empty tea bags.

Since I wrote the names of the teas on the bags, I couldn’t just stamp directly on them. But I stamped some birthday stuff on white paper, added some extra fun papers and I ended up with two sweet little gift bags all ready to go!

Sometimes holding on to stuff is a good thing… ;o) 

Penguin Christmas 2009

This year’s Christmas card is all penguins. Debbie Bernard came over to stamp this morning and had this adorable stamp that I just had to use! They turned out perfect! Thanks Debbie!!!

Super Summer Stamp

Today was the all-day stamp at church. Not only did we make 62 birthday cards to send to our missionaries, but I was also able to make some cards for my own stash, too! I made 35 cards all together today! That’s not bad considering that I did quite a bit of chatting and eating as well. :o)  I was really on a creative roll today (which doesn’t always happen on the days I need it to)! I hated to pack things up, but eventually we had to go home.

Girls' Nite- Stampin'

Tonight was our Girls' Nite Out at church. We did stamping. I love to do it and wish I had time to do it more often. I forgot to take pictures - AGAIN! I wish I had remembered, because we all had such a fun time and made lots of cards. Especially all the little girls. But I do have pictures of the cards I made. (not the same, but it will have to do)

Makin' Cards In The Kitchen

Today I went to my friend Sally's to make cards. It was fun to get to visit with her again (we've both had a crazy summer), see all her cool stuff, enjoy a nice lunch, and make some cute cards. I introduced her to SplitcoastStampers (check them out if you like to stamp) and she let me use her crop-a-dile (see "Leingangs Recommend").

I made 15 cards today, but better yet, I had a fun day with a great friend! Thanks again Sally! Oh, and thank your hubby for being so patient with our mess. :o)
